Improving the CS-Cart checkout

Start by removing work. One Step Checkout rearranges the checkout page into one, two or three columns with an order summary that stays in view, and gives you one screen for every field: show, hide, required, order and width. It keeps the core checkout underneath, and a payment method that needs the standard page can fall back to it, with what the customer typed kept.

Next, remove surprises. Shipping cost and delivery date are the classic late shocks, so show them earlier: Shipping Estimator on Product Page gives cost, carrier and arrival date before the cart, and Delivery Date & Time Slots adds slot booking with cut-offs and capacity limits.

Rules: who can buy what, and how

Shipping & Payment Restrictions shows the customer the reason when a method is hidden, which saves support tickets. Pay by Link is useful for phone orders and sales teams: send a secure link for an unpaid order, a custom amount or a prepared cart, by e-mail, URL or QR code.

Payment gateways for Turkey and cash-on-delivery risk

For stores selling in Turkey, iyzico Payments offers the Checkout Form with 3D Secure and installments, plus Marketplace sub-merchant split on Multi-Vendor. PayTR Payments offers iFrame and Direct API checkout with installments, pay-by-link and Marketplace payouts to vendors. Both handle refunds from the admin panel.

If cash on delivery fraud is a problem, Order Risk Guard scores every order and can hide cash on delivery for risky customers. Before changing your checkout, check your gateway’s page in the documentation, because some gateways need the standard checkout page.

Test a checkout change before it goes live

Checkout is the one place where a small mistake costs orders straight away. Whichever add-on you add, run through the same short list on a staging copy. Subdomains of your licensed domain and local development hosts are covered by your licence.

1. Place a test order as a guest and as a signed-in customer, on a phone and on a desktop.
2. Try every payment method, including redirect gateways that return to your store.
3. Try every shipping method with an address in each of your zones.
4. Apply a coupon and check taxes on the final total, in your secondary currency too.
5. On Multi-Vendor, place an order with products from two vendors.
6. Cancel an order and confirm that stock returns.

Then watch the funnel for a week. Sales Reports Pro shows product funnels, and Order Source & UTM Attribution shows whether the change affected a particular channel.
